Right, left...does it really matter?!

Austin has been obsessed with putting on his own shoes the last few months...the only problem is, he doesn't really "get" or care which feet the shoes go on!! 90% of the time, he puts his shoes on the wrong feet, but he could care less, he is just so proud he did it himself!! I try to tell him and help him switch them, but he gets so mad, for he wants to do it himself! So he just walks out with them the way they are!! We get a few laughs when people out in public notice, especially at Brian's games...they point to his feet and laugh, and Austin just beams with pride probably thinking they are happy that he put on his own shoes ;)

Hard to tell in this picture with his crocs on, but here's his shoes on the wrong feet right after he put them on! As you can see, he gets very proud when he puts them on!

We are working on teaching him the difference between Left and Right ;) The funny thing is, I try to help teach him by laying out his shoes the right way, all he has to do is slip his feet into them, but he insists on crossing his feet over to the "wrong" shoe to put them on!!! Oh well, the pride he has on his face when he puts them on himself and screams "I did it!" is priceless ;)
