Football...

One of the things that stinks about being over in Japan is that we miss a lot of the football season. I've seen Brian get up at random times in the middle of the night over here just to check the live football results on his computer, trying to keep tabs on the season! We love when there's night football games, that means we get to see most of the live games via our slingbox (which is the coolest thing in the world, it allows us to watch our live TV in AZ here on our TV in Japan!)

Austin loves football too, and is quite obsessed with both his Seahawks jersey and his UW jersey, always wanting to wear them. He also likes Jake Locker, and is always pointing out that Jake wears the same number as him. When we tell Austin it's actually Jake's number that he's wearing, he sternly tells us, "No, it's my number, it's on my shirt!" Ok buddy, whatever you say :)

Bag Lady...

Brooke is obsessed with carrying around bags filled with her toys. If she's not sneaking into my closet to drag around one of my totes, she's sneaking off into the kitchen to steal the grocery bags out of the pantry. She'll just walk around the apartment carrying her bag full of "stuff" all day long! Beings how she loves bags so much, Brian and I took her shopping to find a bag of her own. Once Brooke had hers all picked out, Austin made it apparent that he had to have a bag too, to carry all of his cars in. So we found him a "man bag," and now the two of them are so happy to have their own bags!

Japan 2010...Our Patio...

It's amazing how much fun a $5 blow up pool (plus the help of a water table from Costco) can bring!! Some days were just so hot this summer, we came straight home from being out and about and went right into the blow up pool on our apartment patio to cool off. It took forever filling it up each day (since we have no hose!), but it was so worth it seeing the kids have so much fun!! They would ask to go in the "pool" almost every day this summer, so of course we did! Somedays we would eat lunch out there, or enjoy yummy home made popsicles while keeping cool in the water, just enjoying the break from the heat :)

MAY:

The day we brought the water table home from Costco!! It was back in May when it wasn't as hot out, but they loved playing in it anyway!
