"Rick or Wreat!"

We had a great Halloween this year! Brian's parent's came over to join us for dinner and trick or treating, it was so much fun! Austin loved going trick or treating, he was way more into it this year...the first time our door bell rang and he saw the kids all dressed up, he was ready, wanting to go out and do the same thing! We walked around our neighborhood, and Austin loved pushing the doorbell (usually pushing it over and over!), saying "Rick or Wreat," and then "Tanks" (for thanks!) when he got his candy...although he wouldn't allow anyone to put candy into his pumpkin bucket, he was absolutely against it. He would hold it in his hand, and then hand it over to Grandma, who would hold it in a bag!! We couldn't figure out why, but hey, whatever, it's his night!! Brooke was quite the trooper, all dressed up as "Nana Brookie," as Austin called her! She was the cutest little banana we have ever seen! And Austin made quite the handsome UPS man!! It sure was a fun night!

"Rick or Wreating!"
(Much braver this year, last year he didn't want to go up to the door at all!)

Showing off his "rick or wreating" loot!

Nice to meet you Ethan!

Brookie finally met her adorable boyfriend Ethan (they don't know it yet, but we are thinking betrothal for these two)! Ethan is only 2 months older than Brooke...uh-oh, she's already going for older men! It is going to be a lot of fun watching these two grow up together, it is so cute watching them already ;)
Ethan wasn't shy about planting a kiss on Brooke...as you can see, she wasn't that into it!

Brooke and Ethan
Trying to get the two of them to stay still and smile just wasn't going to happen!

Having fun playing together with a plastic bottle...

...until Ethan saw something shinier and showed off his crawling skills, which clearly upset Brooke that she can't do that yet!

Showing off their bouncers!

So Brooke, what do you think about dinner at my place...sweet potatoes and rice cereal sound good?!

I don't know why, but one of them always ends up crying when they're together!

Brian's Last Game of the season...

Here are some pictures from Brian's last game in Japan. It's weird we won't be going to anymore baseball games for a while...Austin is sure going to miss them!

Austin showing his Team Brian spirit by wearing his Dadda's shirt!

Brooke is very proud of her daddy!

Austin trying his hardest not to run onto the baseball field at the end of the game!

The 3 amigos of Japan!
Austin, Tessa and Brooke hanging out in the family room after cheering on their Dad's at the game! (Trying to get a picture of these 3 all looking was impossible, and it looks like Tessa is beating Austin and Brooke is clearly enjoying a choking hazard waiting to happen!)

These 3 kiddos had a lot of fun together this season!

Last days of summer...

I was just going through all of our photos and found a bunch from our last 2 weeks in Japan that I never posted. It already seems like it was so long ago that we were there, walking to the beach to enjoy the warm sun!

Austin taking his girlfriend Tessa for a boat ride at the Big Banana!

Getting ready for one of our nightly walks in Japan, sportin' our matching tracksuits!

Brooke giving her big brother a lesson in wrestling!

Austin checking out the fish in the pond at the elementary school that was by our apartment in Japan...he loved coming here!

Enjoying a nice night outside!

Saying nite nite to the fish in the pond...we couldn't leave without doing this every time we went!

Our happy little boy!

Enjoying a nap with dadda on one of his last days off of the season!

Nothing like a game of soccer with Dad!

Brian and Austin in a game of dunk hoops!

Poor Brian, Austin wanted him to lift him up to slam dunk over and over again, his arms had to be ready to fall off!!

Sharing a hug!

Austin loved climbing into Brooke's crib at our apartment in Japan...besides being totally dangerous, they got a total kick out of it and Brooke thought it was just hysterical!

Brooke loves grabbing her big brother!

Brooke, you are so funny!

Hey Big Bro, you are so cool...

...wait, you can't get away from me that easy...

...see, I'm not so bad!
(Brooke loves her big brother, can't you tell!)

Off to the park one last time before we head back to the states!

Austin teaching Brookie her ABC's with his flash cards!

I wonder what they are talking about...I jut love watching them take care of each other ;)

Brooke at 6 months...

Dear Brooke,
Today you are 6 months old! I can't believe it, 6 months have gone by so fast, I wish time could slow down, you are growing up in the blink of an eye. This past month has been quite an eventful one for you, full of new things and new places!

You got your first tooth a few weeks ago, and it finally got a friend last week as your 2nd bottom tooth finally came in too! You can now sit all by yourself, but you can't go from laying down to sitting up on your own yet, so you get really mad when you fall over and can't get back up! You love to be up and sitting!! You are not crawling yet, but by the looks of it, it won't be much longer! You can "scoot" really good though...you lay on your belly and push as hard as you can with your toes and inch forward until you reach the toy you have your eye on! You can actually get pretty far, even though it takes you a little while!

You still love your tongue, it is always sticking out! And you love eating your solid foods! Your favorites right now are homemade sweet potatoes, "bacado" (banana and avacado pureed together!), mango, and squash! You have also started experimenting with puffs and wagon wheels, you get so determined trying to pick them up and get them into your mouth, and get so happy when you succeed! You also started using a sippy cup, although, you don't have the hang of it just quite yet.

You took your 2nd big plane trip this month, and got to see you own home for the very first time in your life! We left Japan and came back to our home in Arizona!! You also finally got your 4 month shots right after we got back (a little late), so at 5 1/2 months, you weighed in at 19 lbs 12 oz, and were 28 3/4 inches long...quite the big girl, 100th percentile in height, 95th in weight! That explains why you are in size 4 diapers! Your head was 17 inches, in the 75th percentile...shocking that it is the "smallest" part of you right now, for you are doomed to have a big noggin, it's in your blood on both sides, and let's be honest, it just looks much bigger than it is!

The most important thing though, is that you continue to be the happiest baby, full of smiles and laughs, and the way you light up when you see your mommy, daddy and brother is just the best thing in the world. You love your big brother and want nothing more than to watch what he is doing, it is really cute. Thank you for being such a happy little girl, who loves to cuddle and lets us kiss her as much as we want, which is a lot!

Here are pictures of you over the past month...

Brooke at 6 months, trying to eat some wagon wheels!

Loving her wagon wheels, even though they make quite the mess!

Brooke hanging out on the patio in her bouncer!

Brooke gets very determined when trying to pick up her puffs.

So serious about her puffs! But, she sticks with it and even though it takes her a little while, she manages to get them!

So happy when she gets them in her mouth!

Quite the snack, a spoon and puffs!

Brookie can now sit all own her own! And she loves playing with her doggy Hunter!

Her very first time in the pool, and she loved it!

Brooke loves being in the water!

Brooke's first night in her own crib! She is very happy to be in it finally!

Finally, my own bed!

Brooke, at her very last baseball game of the season in Japan (5 1/2 months old)!

Getting better at sitting up!

Brookie tries to eat everything!

Our happy little girl!

Your tongue is always sticking out like this!

You love to smile, and you love to have that tongue sticking out! (24 weeks old)

At 5 months old, you were officially too big for your bouncy seat...actually, you out grew it a while ago, but you loved reclining in it! But now that you can sit on your own, you want nothing to do with it!

You try really hard to crawl, it won't be much longer!

At 5 months old you had to sit in your "Gorilla Squat" like this, but now as a big 6 month old, you can sit and move around, and pick up toys around you!! You are getting so grown up!

Out on a walk, enjoying the beautiful fall weather in Japan, just before we left to go back to the heat in Arizona!

You spent a lot of the past month teething...and now you have two teeth to show for it!

We just love that smile of yours, and of course your tongue is still sticking out!

You have the cutest little laugh, your whole face just lights up!

You went from eating in your Bumbo to a being in a big high chair this month! You are growing up so much!

You love to play!
