Hello August!!

We sure kicked off August with quite the fun day!! With Brian and his team on the road again, we started off the morning with a trip to the beach with some friends. The kids and I went with some of the other American wives and their children to the beach not very far from our apartments and even though it was a little overcast and windy, it was still nice and warm out. Austin loved playing with his shovels in the sand and Brooke and the other babies (9 months and 6 months) laid out on the towels for some girl time ;) Fukuoka is quite the beach town, they have restaurants and shops, volleyball courts and even stages with bands playing all along the beach, with lots of people hanging out. It is a lot of fun here in the summer ;)

After the beach and everyone's naps, we all decided to go out to dinner together at the Hard Rock Cafe for some yummy "American" food! Austin loves their mac and cheese!! After dinner we went to watch an amazing firework show that lasted for an hour and a half (we didn't stay for the whole thing!) up on the balcony of Brian's team stadium. There were so many people out watching the show, I guess it was a big deal here in Fukuoka, it was a lot of fun. Everyone was hanging out sitting on blankets having a good time!! Austin loved it, he was a little scared at first with the noise of the fireworks, but it didn't take him long to ooh and ahh at them with us ;)

Austin enjoying his lollipop...if you look in the background you can see Brian's team stadium...it's the dome on the left! We are not very far from it all, it's so nice!

Trying to get a picture with me and the kids ;)

At the firework show!

Everyone gathered around at the "Yahoo Dome" watching the fireworks...they actually took place at a park not far away, but it was too packed, so we came here instead!
