We're having a...

GIRL!!!!!

Baby Girl Falky profile at 17 weeks 3 days!
The "Girl" Parts!!

So excited to officially announce that we will be having a girl this September!! We just found out yesterday at our ultrasound, and it was so funny when we told Austin he was going to have another sister. His first reaction was, in a loud scream mind you: "NO!!! Not a GIRL!!! I don't want another sister!!!!" It was pretty funny!! He was darn certain he was going to have a brother, poor guy!! By the end of the night, he had changed his tune though, and seems much more excited about having another baby sister :)

It was a good appointment, we got great news that all looks healthy and normal and right on track, we are blessed to hear that!!

Bump Watch...17 weeks...

It's hard to believe I have reached 17 weeks already...and it's hard to think I still have SO much time to go!!!! I am definitely sporting a belly bump (as well as larger arms, legs, boobs and butt...they all seem to be growing together!), I guess your body just gives in much faster the 3rd time around. Or maybe it's the fact I have had an endless appetite since day one of this pregnancy and have literally eaten everything in sight! Seriously, I am ALWAYS hungry with this one!! So far it has really been a great pregnancy, I can't complain. Was tired to the bone the first trimester, but the fact that I haven't even thrown up once yet makes up for that!! Here's some pics taken at 17 weeks...crazy to think how much bigger I am going to get...YIKES!!! :)

Me at 17 weeks
Random Pregnancy Facts So Far:

Craving: Grapefruit, Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, Rainbow Sherbert, Jelly Beans, and Girl Scout Samoa Cookies (They scored big time when they knocked at our door!)

Keeping Away From: So far haven't taken sour to much, I have been lucky, although I have completely stayed away from all things fish just in case (after an episode I had when pregnant with Austin, it still haunts me!).

Weight Gain: Not even going to go there. I am sure I am going to be the biggest thing Japan has ever seen come 9 months pregnant (That is if we still make it out there...taking that decision day by day).

How Austin & Brooke are reacting so far: Brooke really has no idea. When we ask where mommy's baby is, she goes and gets one of her dolls. Austin is very excited. He insists it's going to be a brother and his name is going to Owen. When I tell him it might be a girl, he tells me, "No, I don't think so!" He also got to tag along with me to a doctor's appointment and listen to the heartbeat, he thought that was the coolest thing ever and said he could hear the baby growing! So cute :)

Just Being Brooke...

One thing we have learned about our daughter Brooke so far, is that she is quite the character. She is always cracking us up with her fun loving personality...she can be quite the ham! She loves to sneak into her and her brother's closets, dressing up in whatever garb she can find! She loves accessories; hats and shoes being her favorite, and is constantly strutting around the house, even in hot Arizona weather, in winter beanies. Here's a collection of photos I have found of her over the past few months, just being Brooke...

Jammies, check. Princess high heels, check. Bracelet as arm band, check. Necklace hanging out under coat, check. All stylish for bedtime, check.

It doesn't always have to be girly...she loves sports accessories too!

Looks like someone got into their brother's hat drawer again.

Ummm...not so sure about this girl sometimes...going for the electrical cord and the end table at the same time...someone should tell her they're not food.

Now that's a rockin' outfit Miss Brooke.

Pure SPITFIRE.

She pulled this look all together herself...now if only we had a beach to go to!

Not potty trained yet, but she thinks so. She loves to sit on the potty and pretend to go just so she can use the toilet paper.

Two of her all time favorite accessories: Her pink hat, and her silver ballet flats. I don't know what we are going to do when she outgrows them.

Insisting on eating with her beanie on.

Who needs a blanket for bed when you can keep warm in a hat?!

One of my favorite looks. Sweatband and all.

Camo rain boots sure complete the look Brooke.

Japan Earthquake...

Just wanted to let everyone know that Brian is OK and safe from the massive earthquake that hit Japan today. His team is playing on the road, and thankfully, they are in a city that is far enough away from where the earthquake hit. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all our friends and teammates in Japan, and to anyone else there who was affected by this terrible tragedy. Thank you to all of you who have called asking about Brian, we appreciate your concerns and are so thankful that he and his teammates are OK.
