Football, Basketball, Baseball and Soccer Oh My...

This winter we put Brooke in Soccer Tots and Austin in a multi-sport class that taught basketball, soccer, football and baseball. They had so much fun going to the gym each week to sport class, they were sad when it was over! Brooke's class was basically a bunch of 2 year olds wandering around with their parents chasing after them trying to get them to kick the ball, but it was good exercise for all of us! Austin really took to his class, he loves sports and was so excited to get to play some football finally!

Brooke on her first day of soccer tots doing the obstacle course for warm up! (This was actually the day after we got back from Japan in October...I don't know how we made it to this first class, we were all so delirious!)

Practicing foot work by kicking over cones!

I got the ball, now what?!! Brooke had a hard time dealing with the fact she couldn't use her hands in soccer. She much preferred "throwing" the ball!

Kicking the ball into the goal! (most of the time she would throw it in!)

Brooke and her buddies doing their team cheer!

Another day of obstacle course training!! The tube was her favorite!

Running through hoops!

Some agility footwork training!

Pop-Pop trying to help Brooke out!

Having fun in Soccer!

Hunter's 8th Birthday...

Back on December 21st, our first child, Hunter, had his 8th birthday!! It really seems just like yesterday that he was a puppy, traveling all over the place with us!! We got Hunter right after Brian and I got engaged, and he has been the best (albeit crazy) dog, a trooper indeed. Until Brian started playing baseball in Japan, Hunter went everywhere with us, and I mean everywhere!! He never missed a cross country road trip traveling to the new city Brian was playing in. He has been on more road trips and lived in more cities than I can count! These days he spends half the year with us, and the other half with his grandparents in Washington, who so dearly watch him for us while we are away in Japan! We miss him tremendously while we are away, but are so thankful they are able to take such great care of him!!

Hunter is the craziest, most loving, hyper dog you will ever meet, even at the ripe old age of 8, he still acts like a puppy!!! Sure he has his vices...barking, jumping on people, stealing food and napkins from the counter, etc...but he is so good with Austin and Brooke (even though you would think he would be quite jealous of them since they stole all of his thunder!!)...we can't imagine not having him. He will sure hold the bar high for any future dogs we have!! Happy Birthday Hunter, can't believe you are 8 old man!!! :)

Hunter enjoying opening his 8th birthday present!

Austin ready to help!

These two love Hunter!

Happy 8th Birthday Hunter!

Austin's First Preschool Christmas Party...

Obviously this was from a while ago! Trying to catch up!!
It was so much fun attending Austin's first Christmas Party at school, they were all so cute and excited! They sang all of the parents some Christmas songs and then we shared snacks and made stockings together. It was adorable watching all the kids run around showing off their classroom to us! I love moments like these, they are absolutely priceless :)

Austin was really into it!

Fiesta Bowl 2011...

Playing a little catch up here...
I was so excited when we found out that the UConn Football team made it's first ever BCS bowl appearance this year. To make it even better, they were coming to Arizona to the Fiesta Bowl! It was a lot of fun taking Brian to the tailgate to see all of us UConn alumni in action, rooting for our school! So we didn't exactly win the game, but hey, it's a start!! There was an awesome turn out of UConn fans, and a ton of my volleyball teammates and other fellow friends and athletes showed up too, it was a great reunion, I wish we could do it more often!!

Me and some of my UConn Volleyball girls with Jonathan the Husky (He's sure a tough looking husky huh...lol!)

Tailgating at the Fiesta Bowl with my volleyball girls!

GO UCONN!

It was so much fun seeing everyone from college again...

GO UCONN HUSKIES!!
(hopefully they'll do a little better next year!)

Chillin' in her crib...

Brooke is a great sleeper. I mean this girl loves to sleep. She was sleeping in so long the other day I actually went in to check on her and found her like this...just kickin' back in her crib, sound asleep like she was swaying in a hammock or something! Funny thing is my mom said she used to find me sleeping the same way as a baby...like mother like daughter I guess :)

cute little feet stickin' out!

Arm up under her head and all, so relaxed!

She might be outgrowing this crib sooner than we thought!
