Our trip to Washington...

We had such a great time visiting all our family and friends in Washington. And we had such amazing weather while we were there, it was beautiful!! The kids and I stayed an extra week after Brian left for Japan, which was a great way to help ease the sadness of saying goodbye. I have to say a very special thank you to my parents who basically turned over their house to us, we managed to steal every bedroom of theirs and flooded the house with toys everywhere! They even went out of their way to give us all the beds in their house and they took the sofas...now that's pretty darn special!! They even helped me and the kids so much as we all got colds (Brooke ended up getting 2 ear infections!), and also had to take Austin for a consult at Seattle Children's Hospital as he was diagnosed with having a Hernia while we were there!! I don't know what I would have done without them!! Thank you Mom and Dad!

Our second week in Washington was kind of a crazy time for the Falky bunch, not only were Brooke, Austin and I feeling under the weather, but my sister-in-law Marie (who just had a beautiful baby girl, Olivia) got pneumonia which led to pleurisy. She was put in the hospital for 5 days without Olivia, who was then 3 weeks old. I can't even imagine how hard that was, it was awful seeing her have to go through that. Since we were all sick with colds, we couldn't even go see her or Olivia, for fear we would weaken their immune system worse (we didn't want to risk Olivia getting what her mommy had, thankfully she didn't!). It was miserable being all the way up in Washington, but not being able to see or help them. Definitely not the way we were hoping the trip to turn out! But thankfully, everyone is doing and feeling much better now!!!

It was too short of a trip up there, we could have stayed a lot longer...we sure miss our family and friends so much and always enjoy our time with them when we come up to visit!

This is Austin and his buddy Dane..he is my parent's neighbor's grandson and always comes over when Austin is in town to play! These two get along so well, Austin is only a few months younger, they are the perfect buddies! And how cute that they have on matching sweaters!!!
