Who needs toys?

Who needs toys when there are toilet paper rolls and suitcases to play with!! Austin just discovered how totally entertaining unrolling toilet paper can be!! I swear, you turn your back for one second...

Austin is also going through an "unpacking" phase. He loves to empty things out of containers...just recently he decided to be a big help and unpack his entire suitcase. He then realized what a great hiding place his suitcase could be and played a game of hide and seek with me while burrowed in his bag! Too cute!! What an active little guy we have on our hands :)

Now if only he could learn to fold!

P.S. I have a video of Austin playing hide and seek, but am having problems downloading it. Once I figure out how to do it, I will make sure to post it!! :)

CrazyRossHouse said...: YEAH!! I have a new page to add to my favorites. I am not as good as my sisters, but I try. Austin is soooo cute. I will babysit if you guys come to L.A. Kate would love to unroll toilet paper with Austin. Be careful though, it's and expensive toy!!!

October 6, 2009: Brooke is now eating: Rice Cereal, Apples, Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans, and Bananas!
October 4, 2009: Brooke's first tooth poked though! It's her bottom right front tooth!!
October 1, 2009: Austin is really picking up on his letters and numbers and can almost spell his name all on his own out loud! He only needs a little help! His vocabulary is getting a lot bigger now, some of his favorite words are: Robot, Star, Horn, Clown, Fish, Fart (yes, fart!), "noo-noo's" for noodles, and "peece-car" for police car!
October 1, 2009: Brooke is starting to want to sit by herself, she can almost do it! She is also starting to say "Da-Da!" over and over! Her only "words" so far!
September 14 2009: Austin's bottom right molar just poked through!
September 12, 2009: Brooke slept for the first night without being swaddled, she no longer needs it! She slept from 10pm to 8am straight with out it!
September 9, 2009: At 4 1/2 months old, Brooke weighs 18.6lbs!
September 3, 2009: Brooke started rice cereal today!!
August 28, 2009: At 4 months and 1 week old, Brooke weighs 17lbs 9oz!
August 14, 2009: Brooke rolled over for the 1st time today!
April 21, 2009: Our daughter, Brooke Elizabeth, was born today!
March 21, 2009: Austin went poo-poo in the big boy potty for the very first time!
March 2009: Words Austin is saying: Snack, Tyler, Gramma, All Done, Bye-Bye, All gone, and he loves to give "Knuckles and High Fives!"
March 20, 2009: Austin loves to sing along to songs now...his favorites are "Wheels on the Bus," "Take Me Out to the Ballgame,""The Night Night Austin" song, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," and "The Wonder Pets" Theme song ;) He loves to do all the hand motions with Wheels on the bus too ;)
January 11, 2009: Austin climbed out of his crib in the middle of the night for the first time...let's hope it's the last!!
November 2008: Words Austin can say now: Momma, Dadda, Ball, Bat, Baseball, Oh Man!, Woof Woof (for dog), Mine (thanks to Dad!), Vroom Vroom, Go!!,
November 1, 2008: Austin loves to tell you what noises his favorite animals make. He can do a dog, an owl, a duck, a cow and a kitty :)
October 2008: Austin is starting to eat his meals with a fork and spoon and is actually getting the food into his mouth successfully!
July 28, 2008: Austin has 3 new teeth showing now!
June 10, 2008: Austin took his most consecutive steps in a row...8 total!! He is getting closer to being a full time walker!
June 4, 2008: We turned Austin's car seat around so now it is forward facing!! What a difference! He LOVES wacthing the cars and all the lights!!
May 28, 2008: Austin took 4 steps all by himself! Yay Austin!
May 28, 2008: Austin had his very first cup of whole milk...what a big boy! He seems to love it :)
May 27, 2008: Austin stood up without holding or pulling up on anything!
May 25, 2008: Austin turns one!!
May 21, 2008: Austin had his first birthday party at his Aunt Kirsten and Uncle Gary's house! It was a lot of fun!!
May 19, 2008: Austin said "Bye-Bye" while waving for the first time!
May 13, 2008: So disgusting...Austin was left without a diaper on for only 2 seconds so I could go and grab a new diaper, and when I returned he had poo-pooed on the carpet and was playing with it!!! EEWW!! I couldn't believe it, so gross!
April 30, 2008: Austin went underwater for the first time in Grandma and Grandpa F's pool!! On the count of 3, I dunked him under and boy was he surprised when he came back up!!
April 29, 2008: Austin learned how to drink from a straw! You should have seen the look on his face when he figured it out! :)
April 29, 2008: Austin climbed up onto the family room hearth for the first time...we have a little climber on our hands!
April 27, 2008: Austin had his first lollipop and loved it!
April 23, 2008: Austin's first haircut!
April 15, 2008: Austin discovered the toilet paper rolls! Loves to unroll them!
April 11, 2008: Austin says "Uh-Oh!" Hopefully this doesn't mean a lot of Uh-oh's to come :)
July 28, 2008: Austin has 3 new teeth showing now!
